Permify + FusionAuth: Unifying the Identity Stack

We are Permify, an open-source authorization service designed to help developers build scalable, fine-grained access control systems. Inspired by Google Zanzibar, our platform solves complex permission challenges—like RBAC and ReBAC—with a flexible, policy-based engine.

In November 2025, we joined forces with FusionAuth to redefine identity infrastructure. This acquisition unites our specialized authorization technology with FusionAuth’s robust authentication platform, creating the industry's first complete, self-hosted solution for both AuthN and AuthZ. We are bridging the critical gap between knowing who a user is and controlling what they can do.

Our commitment to the open-source community remains absolute. Now backed by FusionAuth, we are accelerating our roadmap to deliver a seamless, end-to-end identity stack that empowers developers to own their data and scale without compromise.
